Your Soul Bible Study Text: Genesis 2:4-5 The purpose for dominion A city where men are focus on God. BY: E. Wadsworth Sherrod III Introduction: When I was focus on the text, several things happen in Royal Oak Township, Oak Park & Southfield Township and one of the incidents involving a 15 year old female was kidnap right before she walked a friend home and then her kidnapper had killed her and left her body in a park located in Oak Park. This is one of the reasons why ministers need to keep their focus on preaching to people like this sick man, so they can be free from the hands of Satan. My intention for this paper is that you will learn about what happens to a city without men focus on God and what happens to a city with men focus on God. So I hope you are ready to dig right into this powerful message that is prepared with you in mind. I. What happens to a city without men focus on God? A. Men stealing from one another: This man from Royal Oak Township had stolen a beautiful 15 year old female from family & friends who love her so much. This man had an obsession over this young girl and probably didn’t want anyone else to have her but him, so that’s probably why he killed her. This man also probably kidnapped other young females and sexually assaulted them that the victims are too afraid to come forward. After this message, there will be a special prayer dedicated to the 15 year old female and other young females who are victims or not. B. Men killing one another: Throughout the whole year in the Detroit area what people heard, seen or read in the newspapers was more young men killing one another and in my next report I’m going to go in more detail about this point in a whole new message next week. But for right now, I’m going to tell you that when you have several young men in a city without focus on what God wants them to do will not having a life full of happiness. II. What happens to a city with a men focus on God? A. Men sharing from one another: There are too many ministers in the Detroit area that need to start sharing with people in need instead of just taking advantage or talking about something without doing anything. Since the economy is not going so well is a good opportunity for ministers to share with young men to never give up and that hope is on the way. But some ministers put their focus on getting more than they deserve and instead of helping someone who has just lost their job or take a pay cut. I’m always focus on sharing Good News or helping someone in need. B. Men protecting one another: This is one step that some men throughout Metro Detroit need to start doing more often when young females go walking to school in the morning or coming home from school. This is the only solution that works better than anything else, but of course some men get too lazy or want more police on the streets to patrol. In the text, God wanted man to be in dominion over everything he created, which means that man has to keep his eyes & ears open for anything that is unusually. See the enemy don’t tell you when he will attack, he attacks when you at least expect it. If man didn’t eat that fruit off the tree of knowledge, I believe that there would be no need for people to do wrong. Because everything that God created is so unique & pure like Gold. Conclusion: I like to end the message by saying, let’s say a prayer for the young females who has to walk to school or coming home from school. Dear Heavenly Father, I just thank you for allowing me to share this message with someone in need and I pray for the safety of all young females that are walking from / to school. In Jesus name, Amen. Dream Cruise came passing by through Hazel Park, Royal Oak Township/Oak Park, Lathrup Village and Southfield Township. You don't want to miss the Good News message about the Dream Cruise by E. Wadsworth Sherrod III Good News For Southfield Township Students (Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms & Franklin) E. Wadsworth Sherrod III Wisdom 101 Room 18650W Bible Study Advisor: Mr. A. Kinnebrew, Jr. TEXT: Romans 11:33-36 TOPIC: Praise THEME: The purpose for praise TITLE: Don't give too much praise on possessions! Introduction: I had spent my quiet time late on Monday, August 9, 2004 and after today I'm going to get up in the morning with my mind focus talking with Jesus. Anyway, I had an opportunity to watch WXYZ TV 7 Action News at noon and the broadcast main story was about Matt Prentice announcing his new restaurant concept along with the help from General Motors. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the Renaissance Center and I want to ask if you know who is taking all the credit for this new restaurant concept called Coach: Insignia. If you said Matt Prentice, Then you are wrong and I’m going to tell you why, because he is a humble man that takes care of others first, just as Jesus did in the four Gospels. In my report, you will learn how to be humble and not giving too much praise on possessions. I. When is too much praise enough? A. People want more control than they have now: As I was focus on this message, I had the opportunity to talk with Nicole who is Matt Prentice Assistant at Unique Restaurant Corporation and the information that she gave me was Matt Prentice gives most of the credit to Matt Cullen, who works for General Motors, Joe Bachman, who is the Executive Chef and Michelle DeHayes, who will be the General Manager of the restaurant. Matt knows how important Detroit wants to bring back the business it once had and so this is why he chose a staff that has a heart helping Detroit to become that world-class city once again. Business people who want more control than they already have will lose what they have already in a matter of time. Their focus is possessions and not on people and that’s why one of the reasons you see several businesses open up and the next thing they close their doors. B. People putting possessions before Jesus: I was watching Life Today with James & Betty Robison on WADL TV 38 Detroit (www.lifetoday.org) and they were talking about too many people in America put their 100% focus on possessions and want to make sure no one takes what belongs to them, instead of sharing their possessions with people who don’t have nothing. James & Betty are founders of Life Outreach International, which provide services & possessions to people who have nothing at all. They don’t just sit around with three cars and try to figure which car to drive on each day. They would give up the two cars to people who didn’t have a car to drive and keep one car for themselves to get around town. Do you know anyone that put possessions before Jesus and don’t share their possessions with people in need? You need to get this message into their hands and pray that the message will change their life afterwards. After this message, I want you to take time to pray for those people. II. Who deserves 100% praise? A. Lord Jesus Christ: The answer is very simple if you didn’t catch on yet. Jesus deserves 100% praise when your business is booming, Jesus deserves 100% praise when you got promoted on your job, Jesus deserves 100% praise when you come home seeing your wife, Jesus deserves 100% praise when your kids are home safe & sound, Jesus deserves 100% praise when all your bills are paid in full, Jesus deserves 100% praise when you are not in the hospital, Jesus deserves 100% praise when you wake up in the morning, Jesus deserves 100% praise when you have food on the table and a roof over your head, Jesus deserves 100% praise when you can see everything around you or when you just had eye surgery to see clearly. The problem with people today is that they put too much focus on possessions and giving other people credit for what Jesus has done. You can be one of the people who can start giving Jesus more praise than any man or woman. Conclusion: I like to end this report by giving Jesus praise and thank Him for allowing me to share my report with the public every week on a timely fashion. So let’s give Jesus 100% praise right now and if you want to surrender your life over to Jesus, feel free to contact me on my cellular phone: (248) 914-9766 or call Daystar Television Network 24 hour prayer line toll free: 1-800-329-0029. Wisdom 101 Room 18650W Bible Study Advisor: Mr. A. Kinnebrew, Jr. 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 Key verse: 20 Wisdom The purpose for wisdom Do you have Wisdom? Introduction: Before I get started talking about wisdom, I just want to say when people have wisdom, they tend to make good choices that will help themselves as well for others around them. In my report, you will know where wisdom comes from and how you can acquire wisdom today. I. Where wisdom comes from? A. Faith & Wisdom are in the same family (Hebrews 11:1-6) Just the other day when I was at the intersection of 8 Mile & Coolidge Highway in Oak Park right in front of the BP service station was a car that had caught on fire and the Oak Park Public Safety responded to the scene quickly as possible to get everything under control. They used wisdom & faith to help them do their job on a timely order and without using wisdom & faith, they probably would not arrive on time to take care of the situation and the situation would have gotten of control. B. Wisdom comes from a place far from this world (Colossians 1:24-2:3) I had the wisdom to be the first reporter to bring you this news story without adding drama or other details. Do you know who sent me to the scene? The same person who gave me the wisdom to report the story and that person is Jesus Christ. Some men would tell you that they have an opportunity to give you wisdom from Jesus, if only you do something for them. Usually people like that would ask for money in order to give you wisdom. But Jesus will give you wisdom when you focus only on Him and no one else. The wisdom that Jesus does not cost any money but just what decision you made in your heart. II. How to have wisdom today? A. Surrender to the will of God (Acts 20:38 & 21:1-21) The text is talking about how Paul surrendered to the Will of God and only do what God wants him to do on a timely fashion. When you surrender to the will of God is one way for you to acquire wisdom and another way for you to have wisdom is coming up. So don?أƒئ’أ†â€™أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬إ،أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ¨أƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒâ€¦أ‚آ¾ fall asleep or walk away as the message is almost over. B. Learn slowly (Philippians 3:7-16): When you learn slowly, you are on the right track on getting true wisdom. Too many teenagers today are learning too fast about life and that?أƒئ’أ†â€™أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬إ،أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ¨أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬ أƒآ¢أ¢â€ڑآ¬أ¢â€â€Ø¢Â¢ why you see more teenagers dying or going to jail. Paul learned slowly before he started to preach and when he was teaching Timothy the work of God, Timothy also learned slowly. Are you learning slowly or too fast? Is it time for you to slow down in your learning process? As I was preparing this message, I had an opportunity to fellowship with Peaceful Waters Ministry located in Conclusion: I would like to say that this is your time to get true wisdom. If you are going too fast, then start slowing down and take one day at a time. Right after this message, I need to start getting up out of bed and get busy working instead of just sitting around doing nothing. But of course the Devil holds me down until the day is almost over with and then my work is getting done late instead on a timely fashion. But right after this message, I?أƒئ’أ†â€™أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬إ،أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ§أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬إ،أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ½ going to make a change that will help me do the things that I need to do on a timely order. Now what about you today? Are you having problems just as I am? Together, we can help one another get our work done.
Good News for the week of August 16, 2004. Written by TEXT: Hebrews 4:14-16 TOPIC: Sacrifice THEME: The purpose for sacrifice TITLE: Someone who would sacrifice their life to help you is a good leader. Introduction: As I was out delivering news to business people in the Downtown Royal Oak area, one of my clients had allowed me to sit down and watch a little of Senator John Kerry speaking at the Democratic National Convention held at the
I. What is sacrifice? A. Giving up something important to help someone with nothing (Romans 8:34-38) Right now, I???at one of the Pizza Hut restaurants operated by Wolverine Pizza, L.L.C., which is owned by Lavan Hawkins. What I notice is that the employees have given up their time to help Wolverine Pizza bring in money. A good hard-working employee is someone who will go that extra mile no matter what or don???happen. A good hard-working employee doesn???complain or just sit around on his but all day long while on the job. A good hard-working employee takes care of business on a timely fashion. B. Always doing what???right no matter what (I John 2:1-6) When I was watching Life Today with James & Betty Robison on WADL TV 38 Detroit at 10:00pm. I notice that they were talking to Kathie Lee Gifford about a new project that she is working on to reach as many people for Jesus. Kathie Lee Gifford was committed doing what???right no matter what or doesn???happen in the field she is involved with. Feel free to check out her newest project by clicking onto her website: www.kathieleegifford.com and she also wrote a song called ??أƒئ’أ†â€™أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬آ¦أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ،أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬إ،أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®??ou can depend on His Word,??Which gave me the inspiration to do more as a writer in the ministry. I learned no matter what if you just keep your focus on doing what???right; everything will start come together in time. Just afterwards, James & Betty had the opportunity to show their granddaughter: Lora Redmon who had the opportunity to do something that hardly any teenager has ever done and that was go into another country and help a family have access to fresh water. I thought that what she had done was just so cool. So what I did was purchased 1 case of bottled water from Value Wholesale and then went out selling the water for $1 and the proceeds are going towards purchasing a vehicle that will help me to deliver news to the public on a timely fashion. II. How to sacrifice your life for others? A. Be Humble (Luke 18:13-16) As I was watching In Touch with Charles Stanley on WADL TV 38 Detroit on Sunday at 10:00pm, Charles Stanley was preaching about the true way to success. This text will be clear and understandable to you as was to me. The tax collector is trying to impress people by all the work & wealth he has done or has now. Do you know a tax collector today? For example, the work they do and you??أƒئ’أ†â€™أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬آ¦أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ،أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬إ،أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®أƒئ’أ†â€™أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ®أƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬آ¦أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ،أƒئ’أ†â€™أƒâ€ڑأ‚آ¦أƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬ أƒئ’أ¢â‚¬آ¦أƒآ¢أ¢â€ڑآ¬أ¢â€â€Ø¢Â¢?find out that they earn a nice piece of the pie. James 5:16-18 Power of Prayer Only the power of prayer can change America. Introduction: Since the Democrat Convention open last month, people who spoke about the future plans for America all have ideas that takes time to put in place. Some people may not understand about the amount of time everything takes to get answers. The economy is going really slow and do you know what that means? Find out all in my report about the power of prayer. I. What is the power of prayer? A. Mediation: When Jesus was taken up to the cross, His last words were My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? Some people standing by thought that Jesus was calling for Elijah to come rescue Him. But later on a Roman officer standing by finally said, truly Jesus was the Son of God. Jesus gave up all what He could have on earth for something that's more valuable. What should people look for when they vote for a leader? Will that person give up everything to see that you have justice? Will that person keep fighting until the fight is over? Just think about that for a moment and then check out my next point. B. Power that mankind can't comprehend or do: As we take a look at James 5:17, where Elijah is just a human like we are today and yet when he talked with God about not bringing rain for about 31/2 years. God responed to his request, because Elijah knew who deserve the credit for all things. Elijah may not understand how God create or not make it rain, but he respected God as creator and not trying to figure out how God does it.
II. How to have the power of prayer work for you? A. Never give up on prayer: Elijah never gave up on prayer when the problem seem hopeless. In today's world, people start naming & claiming things that may not be for them. If God wants you to have it, then that thing is yours. You can't demand God the things you want life, because He is in control not you. B. Never question how the power of prayer works: As you see here in the verse, Elijah never asked God how He does things. What he did have was the faith to believe what seem impossible can be done. When Jesus was on the cross, He called out the name Elijah and some people thought that Elijah was going to come rescue Jesus. Those same people would ask questions and want to see a miracle so they can go tell people that they saw a miracle. Jesus plan was not to do miracles, but to help as many people he can.
Conclusion: Before I go, I want to say if you need something like a car to drive or a place to stay and your parents are able to help you. Then go to Jesus in prayer and Jesus will respond to your needs on His time not yours. You don't want to miss what I will be discussing next week. I'm going to give you a hint and it is Food. TITLE: Teenagers need to learn about driving slow will save their life and help keep their insurance from going up.Introduction: I was the first reporter on the scene to report a car accident at the intersection of J.L. Hudson Drive & Greenfield on Friday evening of June 4, 2004. I had an opportunity to talk with a witness and the Southfield Police Officer in-charge of the scene. At first the officer was so frustrated that he didn't want to talk with any media until things got under control. I. What causes car accidents? A. Teen & Young Adult drivers driving too fast: The witness who saw what happen told me that the Lincoln Town car was speeding southbound on Greenfield and turned onto J.L. Hudson Drive so fast that the car ran right in back of a white Grand Prix car and the white Grand Prix crashed into a tree. I asked if there was alcohol involved and the officer said yes, but not the cause. The cause was that the driver of a Lincoln Town car was a teenager that was driving his parents car too fast.B. Teens / young adults not paying attention driving: The officer told me that the young driver took his attention off from what's in front of him and focus on talking on his cell phone and listening to his loud music while not looking how fast he was going. The officer said that he will be given a ticket for several things and one of them is for speeding. When you get into your first accident, your insurance will start to go up higher than you can ever imagine, because the insurance company will consider you as not a safe driver and will probably take drivers training again if you continue to get into accidents or the state may take away your opportunity to drive. II. How to keep teen & young adult drivers safe? A. Pay close attention while driving: The officer had told me the one thing that teens and what this teen can learn is pay close attention what's in front of them and drive the speed limit. They also have to be wearing a seatbelt, which this person didn't have a seatbelt on and because he didn't have it on, his airbag had came out so fast right after he hit his head and the driver in the white Grand Prix had to be taken to Providence Hospital for a neck injury.B. Don't play loud music when driving: The tow truck driver from Ross towing had said that they come to too many accidents where young drivers are focus on that loud music instead of focus on driving in traffic.
Conclusion: I like to end this message by saying this summer if kids apply these two steps when driving, then they will save their life, save money on insurance, & other drivers. I know that I learn my lesson after my accident as I was heading to church. Now I have to work hard to buy another car without the help from my parents. My parents have helped me once and if the next time my vehicle gets damage, then it's all on me. You can learn by the hard way or learn the easy way, which way would you choose? TITLE: What can we do about teen addiction? Introduction: Me and Martell Bostic had an opportunity to be a part of Christian Hip-Hop class held at New St. Mark Baptist Church during the Christian Education week in May. What we learned was about how the hip-hop industry help create teen addicted to drugs and what you will about to read will probably blow your mind away as it did when me & Martell first learn about it. I. What causes Teen Addiction? A. Negative peer pressure: Did you know that teenagers are the primary target in the smoking business? Just about 1 million start a habit of smoking each day and stop later on when they faced lung cancer or other diseases caused by smoking.B. To attract attention: During the Christian hip-hop class, Minister Jason Wilson & Minister Shannon had taught that the hip-hop industry has made a big impact on teenagers today and how they are getting people attention by wearing clothes that are too big or tight. The music encourage them if they want to be notice to get high on drugs and you will be someone everybody wants to hang around with. But what happens is that person will only end up in the hospital, in jail or in the grave. One of my best friends that I grew up in High School was involve with drugs, but he got involve by his own mother. When he was 11 years old, his mother wanted him to sell drugs at a school and he refused. So she poured gasoline all over his legs and almost burned him to death. Now he is living a life in the streets instead of doing something positive with his life like going to college or getting a good job opportunity. When I had an opportunity to talk with Tori Thomas (an associate) about this topic and he was telling me that he don't think that hip-hop has a big impact on how teenagers behave. He says that it's how they react to the music. Teenagers should know the difference from right & wrong, so if they do drugs then that the choice they made. Okay that's true, but how do you explain this chorus: Don't push me, cause I'm close to the edge. I'm trying not to loose my head. It's like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder How I keep from under. This is just one of the songs that teens listen to after school or during the summer months. Once they get the song into their memory, they start to react from what the songs says and that is an unknown fact. II. How to prevent teen addiction? A. Help promote more family-friendly programs: This is one thing that I'm involve with doing every day. I'm focus on providing Sky Angel Family of Networks to families, Only Sky Angel offer programs that teens can enjoy without listening to profanity or watching violence & sex scenes. The more positive programs that are avaiable to teenagers & young adults will help them become people with positive attitudes towards themselves and others.B. Make your voice heard now: Minister Wilson had mention if every church got together to complain about the negative hip-hop music to music directors, the music director will take one look and notice that something must go and it's the music. They would probably change the format of the radio station to something that would bring in top dollars. Minister Wilson had also mention that the consumers are the one who own the airwaves and the FCC (Federal Comunication Commission) is the agency that monitors the television & radio station behavior. We can make a difference if we want to see change in our community by making our voice heard now not later. Conclusion: Let me to tell you what me and Martell learned from the class and that is treat everyone with respect. For more information about positive programs for teenagers & young adults check out Minister Wilson's website: www.theyuinon.com and if you have a topic for Teen Health Style go to www.wwtd.4t.com. Teen Health Style News by E. Wadsworth Sherrod III & Martell Bostic TOPIC: Teen Drinking THEME: Why do teens drink? TITLE: Is drinking a problem for teenagers? Introduction: This message on teen drinking was given to Martell, but he needed a little help putting it all together. So I'm right here bringing you the answers that will help you deal with the teen drinking problem. I. What causes Teen Drinking? A. kids having fun: Did you know that kids between the age of 11 and 13 years old experience drinking alcohol? Do you know why at this age kids experience drinking alcohol? Because kids are introduce to the idea from television advertisements and the alcohol companies say they want to target adults over 25 and when you see the advertisements during the time when kids have access to the television, then it is obvious that you can see that their target audience is kids. When I was attending Southfield-Lathrup High School, there was a student who had went in his grandmother's room during the holidays and took a bottle of wine. When he went to school the next day, he brought the wine bottle along with him and decided to share the bottle with his peers at school. I had accepted Christ into my heart and so I was not interested into drinking along with them. But they were caught by one of the school counselors and that student had been expelled from the school and had to find another school to finish his education. Before the student had brought the wine to school, the other students had dare him to bring wine to school and no one didn't take him seriously until he actually brought the wine.B. kids who are careless: I have some friends that were careless with drinking alcohol and they got the help by getting involved with a group called AA. If you know of a teen that had too much to drink and decides to get behind a wheel of a car, the best thing you can to do is make sure that person does not drive onto the road. I have seen news reports throughout metro Detroit about teens drinking and driving on the road and killed a innocent person or people. There's a group called SADD (Students Against Driving Drunk) that is out here to prevent teen drinking and without the support from parents their vision can come to pass. II. How to prevent teen drinking? A. Educate teens on the danger of drinking: When my friend went to a AA meeting, he was educated about the dangers of drinking and what drinking does to your family. Your life is turned upside down and have to put all the pieces all back together again. If there are more programs to educate kids ages 11 to 13 on the dangers of alcohol, then I believe that the problem will be solved just like that.B. Don't drink where kids are around: Kids are smart than you think and to prove it, the next time you do something that could be dangerous. Kids watch you and will probably do what you are doing. This is why that you must be on your best behavior at all times. Especially when you get upset about something. Conclusion: I'm going to end this message by saying one thing and that is if you don't drink period, kids would no anything about drinking. A 12 Year old Boy in the world with a purpose! TOPIC: Time THEME: The purpose for time TITLE: The power of time in His hands. TEXT: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 BY: Introduction: This news story is focus on how things take time to develop in order to be successful in life. Did you know that Jesus has the power of time in His hands? But in time, people within I. Why is time important to Jesus? A. To help as many people: Jesus helped as many people while here in the flesh, but when time came for Him to be in the kingdom, He prepared Himself to get ready. Did you know that Judas was a part of that plan? Find out in one of the 4 gospels. Do you think if Judas didn't do what he did, would Jesus still be here among us? You don't suppose Jesus would have use someone else like Peter or Matthew? B. To teach people to enjoy time as a person: As we take a look at verse 2-3, where the verses talks about first there is a time to be born, a time to teach, a time to laugh, a time to cry, a time to be born, a time to die, a time to grieve and a time to learn. I believe that Royal Oak Township will thrive into a community where businesses will come in do business and developers building houses for people to live. If we all work together to teach people how to enjoy life as a family and instead of allowing them using violence for their soultion.
II. How to have time work for you? A. Don't worry and allow Jesus to handle the details: During the ministry Jesus, He didn't worry about anything and just did what He had to do. The next time you do something, and you worry about not having enough money to buy gas or something to eat. Let Jesus take care of the details and you will see the difference. I want you to try this step next time you are doing something or you have some concerns about it. B. Learn from your mistakes and move on: We all know that Jesus never made any mistakes while starting His ministry, but I and you make mistakes all the time. Do you know why? So we can have the opportunity to learn what we done wrong in life. When I go and take the real estate test to get my state license for real estate. If I make one or two mistakes on the test, then I can use that opportunity to correct myself the next time around. What mistakes have you made lately? Did you make the same mistake over & over again? Once you made the mistake once, learn from what you did wrong and then move on forward. Conclusion: I'm going to end my news story and before I end, I want to give you an opportunity to accept Jesus into your heart. I'm going to take you to Romans 10:9-13 and once you see the verse; you will know how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. I thank you all for a great opportunity that God has given me to minister the Gospel and I'll see you all next fall, Lord Willing.

Topic: Power of Jesus THEME: Why is the power from Jesus make miracles happen?TITLE: All things are possible for Jesus.TEXT: Mark 10:27 BY: E. Wadsworth Sherrod III Introduction: In this story, Jesus allows Judas to join His public ministry and at the end of His ministry, Judas will turn Jesus over to the religious leaders. After this story, you will understand that all things are possible for Jesus to do. So let's get into the story right now as you learn about the power of Jesus. I. What is possible for man to do? A. Steal from innocent people: A Corporate Executive has just framed Judas for a crime that he didn't commit. So Judas goes out finding out who is setting him up for a crime and then have that person arrested. But when Jesus gets involves, He tells Judas to not worry about what someone has done to destroy your name. Because that person will go before the judge of life & death.B. Taking advantage of people by lying: Jesus talks with the Chief of Police and inform him that Judas is innocent and the Chief of Police says that I already know. I need Judas out of the way, so my partner can have access to all his private investments. Jesus tells them that if you keep doing taking advantage of people and want to frame Judas, then your life will be full of darkness. Meanwhile, Judas walks up to Jesus and tells Jesus that I can handle my business myself. The Chief of Police says, Judas are you here to surrender and Judas says that I'm here to prove my innocence.
II. What is possible for Jesus to do? A. Provide Freedom: The Chief of Police called two of his officers to take Jesus & Judas away to jail and when they did that. Jesus had the power to be from the cell and Jesus & Judas lefted in a the speed of light. When Jesus & Judas return home, He tells Judas to keep what happen as a secret between me and you. Of course Judas made a choice to tell everyone in the corporate field and then Judas calls his contact that he knows in the F.B.I.. What do you think what happen next? Judas and the F.B.I. agent had an opportunity to plan that will put the Chief of Police and his partner on ice.B. Provide Healing: When the F.B.I. agent had shot the Chief of Police in the chest, Jesus appears to him and says just lie still. I will take care of your needs right now. Judas sees what happen and informs Jesus you are helping a criminal. Jesus says that I'm here for those who are unable to help themselves or sick people. What do you think happen next? Just take a look at the text, Where you see Jesus provides healing or other services for people who cam to him.
Conclusion: Before I end the story, I want to give you an opportunity to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Take a look at Romans 10:9 and once you said the verse with all your heart. You are now on your way to having the best relationship with Jesus. April 29, 04 Royal Oak Township Fire Fighters responded to another fire at Kroger inside Royal Town Center and the call was a electrical fire. Royal Oak Twp. Fire Fighters had another call about a Careless Cook at Royal Oak Towers. Then they responded to arson call at Bridgewater Apartments at Greenfield & I-696. Family Dollar Stores is building a store in the Downtown Royal Oak Township and will open for business this Summer. Also Charter One Bank is planning to have a branch within the Downtown area in the Royal Town Center. 12 Year old Boy in the World with a Purpose. Topic: Holy Courtship THEME: The purpose for Holy courtship TITLE: Are you building a Holy Courtship relationship? TEXT: Ephesians 5:3-12 BY: E. Wadsworth Sherrod III Introduction: Before I get started on the message about holy courtship, I want to take you to Ephesians 5:3-12 and you will notice that building a holy courtship relationship with a girl or boy that God sends into your life will build into a strong relationship focus on God and not on anything else like people do in the world of today. Stay tuned as I will present to you the message that you can learn about holy courtship. I. What is a Holy Courtship A. A Relationship focus on God: I had a holy courtship relationship with April Barnes and then I wanted to take control of the relationship, which cause my relationship with April to stop and ever since then I had to get my focus back on what Jesus wants me to do, instead of doing what my flesh wants to do.B. A Relationship led by the Holy Spirit: My relationship with April was at first led by the Holy Spirit and I wanted more out of the relationship, because my brothers both had good strong relationships with girls that they love so much. So I decided to led the relationship to destruction. This is one thing that you have to stay away from when the Holy Spirit is taking the relationship to one direction and you want to go another direction.
II. How to have a Holy Courtship relationship? A. Don't give into what everbody else is doing: I wanted my relationship with April to be like my brothers relationship with their girlfriends, but now I understand that God wants me to have my own relationship in a way He wants for me. Did you know after Saul became known as Paul that his relationship was not like what the world was doing? Paul focus his relationship only on Jesus and what Jesus did not want him to do was what Paul did as you take a look at Ephesians chapter 5. Are you like Paul or still doing what everybody else is doing?B. Spend more time with Jesus as a couple: This is one step that I'm using right now with Crystal who is a beautiful young woman that works hard on the job. She is a true Proverbs 31 woman and we are going to spend as much time in studying God's Word than ever before. Are you guys, I want to ask you if you have a Proverbs 31 woman? If you are not sure that your girlfriend is a Proverbs 31 woman, then check out the verse and you will know for sure. Share the verse with that girl as she will know what you want out of a relationship. Conclusion: I want to end this message by saying, God has given me a second chance on having a Holy courtship relatonship the way He wants me to go and not a way that I think it shall go. Next week, I will discuss about the Power of Jesus and you don't want to miss this lesson as you will learn more about the power of Jesus. Before I leave, I want to give you the chance to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Take a look at Romans 10:9 and you will know how to have a personal relationship with Jesus that will last forever more. |
